housewife life.

so friends, i'm gonna need your help.

since moving to pasadena, i've been looking for a job. in the mean time, i'm a full-time housewife.

this is where my sweet, dear girlfriends (or guy friends who like to cook) come in!

i am in desperate need of new recipes! since trav is working hard, bringing home the bacon, i'm trying to do my best to keep my man happy.

next week, i want to try a new recipe every night. send me blogs of good recipes (already love the pioneer woman), personal favorites, etc. the more, the merrier!

ya'll are the best! don't forget to send them over!

xoxo.

BBQ Chicken & Blackbean Burritos
(sounds funny, but they're so easy and so yummy)

1 TBSP Olive oil
3/4 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 cup chopped onion
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/3 cup shredded reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese
4 La Tortilla Factory low-carb tortillas
1/4 cup low-fat sour cream

1) Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, onion, and garlic; cook 8 minutes or until chicken is done, stirring constantly

2)Stir in BBQ sauce and beans. Sprinkle with cheese; cook 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Warm tortillas according to package directions. Spoon about 1/2 cup chicken mixture down the center of each tortilla; top each with 1 TBSP sour cream, and roll up.

My new favorite and easy is Cafe Rio Chicken

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 of small bottle Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing
1/2 T chili powder
1/2 T cumin
1 1/2 gloves minced garlic

Put in the crock pot on low setting for 3 hours. *Add a tiny bit of water, just enough to cover the bottom of the pot. Then after 3 hours shred chicken in the pot and let cook for 1 more hour. Super easy moist chicken! Add with your normal taco fixings...black beans, tomato, avacado, etc. Enjoy!

*This is the recipe after I have halved it which Im sure you would do for the two of you anyways so no need for you to half it yourself!
